jayk84 thats great that youre going back to work for an actual purpose, and that you are doing studies so you can work from home. i would love to be able to wotk from home too but i dont think a restaurant in my lounge is such a good idea, so back to the drawing board.
i have loved being able to see all of their firsts, its been great. i wanted to stay at home with them, but in another way i had no choice as i wouldve had to do 2 full time jobs just to pay the bills, and i couldnt do catering due to the hours so i gave it all up.

i know a woman who had her first child just before i had oliver and she couldnt stand the thought of staying at home with in her words a brat so she shoved her daughter in nursery and went back to waork part time. but the daughter was in nursery for those houre plus a whole day a week so the mother didnt have to put up with her, then the rest of the time was at her grandparents. she recently had another baby and that one too went straight to nursery at 6 weeks old so she could go back to work. with that one her words were ' oh i want another baby then i can shove that one in nursery and first one (so i dont mention names) will be at school by then so i can do full time'. how bad is that?

but it gets better. there's another woman i know that had her first child, was a single parent, got with a new bloke moved in together claiming benefits although he worked full time. decided to have another one so the eldest went to live with her grandparents just for the end of the pregnancy as this woman got uncomforrtable driving to and from school every day (understandable of course). well the baby is 4 years old now and the eldest still lives with the grandparents, and the mother and her partner are planning their wedding for next year and ttc.
