With my second baby I wanted to be as mobile and as awake or with it as possible, my midwifves were really nice and I got a massive room and was sorted out with a bottle of gas and air, the midwives then left me to get on with it and just popped in every 15mins to check blood pressure and babys heartrate. It was brill not being stuck to a moniter.

I went to hospital at 7.15am and had him at 1.17pm and all I had was gas and air but I did go through 2 and a half bottles!!! I was aware of everything that was going on and it was a much more pleasurable birth than Rubys which I cant remember much of.

After just gas and air, he weighed in at a massive 9lb 8oz!!!!
