Default Re: Feeling Lonely

i too have been abused and suffer from depression. My depression got so bad after my 2nd baby that all I though about was dying and ways to kill myself. You can't snap out of depression - it is a real illness. In the end I went to the doctor, who put me on anti-depressants. They were wonderful! they transformed my life! they take about 6 weeks to kick in, but the difference has to be seen to be believed. After going on my anti-depressants, I left my abusive husband, go a new life, partner and baby and now am having counselling through local domestic violence group. This is really helping too. I am still battling depression, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Your doc may be able to send you for counselling, or local victim support group, but don't just hope that it will go away by itself cos it won't. I hope it goes ok, it this is any help and you want to chat, feel free.
