Re: Feeling anxious
Thanks for the reassuring advice ladies.
I have already tried to begin to prepare my daughter for the new arrival. I brought her a dolly with a bottle, nappies and it wees etc, you know the kind and I get her involved with the changing of the doll and pretending to feed the doll etc. I just want her to try and understand a little bit what its all about. When the doll wees she sits it on her potty, (so funny) something she has not mastered yet and I dont expect her to for a while yet. She fetches the baby wipes and the clothes etc and watches what Im doing. Obviously I will not be letting her do all this to the new arrival but at least she will be able to help and feel involved.
I am also fairly confident that this time round I will find things a lot easier in terms of I know what Im doing this time. I think with your 1st you tend to worry about every single little thing. I remember the 1st night my daughter didnt wake up for her 2am feed and I paced the bedroom in panic that something was wrong when in fact she was ready to drop the bottle. Experience is everything.
xx
