I'm guessing you ment 15 months going on 16 months... not 15 years going on 16 years? :S
But any how when you dress him for bed what do you put on him? Like is it just a top and pants? Or do you put on anything underneath? My daughter is 15 months old and for bed she has just the normal nappies then a baby grow and then either her pj's which are pants and a top or a sleep suit and she doesnt take her nappies off at all. So maybe try something like that. Your son might find it harder to undo the buttons of a baby grow and wont be able to take off his nappie so that might help. Also with a baby grow I find it helps keep the nappie in place.
