it is true what my mum said, after all that pain the baby was worth it. i just didnt expect it to be soooo long!!

Ashley was 10 days late (she was due Bonfire Night). i had my mum and boyfriend John as my birth partners (both were brilliant). i told john to go home after 10 hours (when my labour started he had finished a night shift) but bless him he stayed, and kept giving great massages even though i was calling him all the names under the sun!
the only downside to my labour was that i was unable to move around as i was attached to a drip.

a blood test revealed i had group b strep so i had to have it so i didnt pass it on.
i had lots of pain relief: pethidine, gas and air(which i love!!

) and eventually an epidural
we all cried (happy tears)when ashley was born though
