All mine were different
With Melissa my waters broke when she was a wk overdue, but no contractions, she was distressed though and had the cord round her neck so they had to start me off with the drip, I had an epidural for that! 14 hrs later she was born with forceps and she weighed 8 1. Then Ellie-may was a wk early , 12hrs long and no pain relief, she weighed 8 11. Then Angels birth was fun and games! she was almost 2 wks overdue, I had 2 stretch and sweeps, she was engaged for 4 wks and i felt it very uncomfortable to sit (the only place I could sit in comfort was the loo!) then I got sent in to be started off, only they sent me home! I was 3cm and having contractions which I couldn't feel. I then had to go back the next day for my waters breaking ,and when I got there I was 5cm (the only pain I had was braxton hick type things every 5 mins!) then once my waters broke she was here in 2 hrs 9 mins! again I had no pain relief and she weighed 8 7. (soz bout the life story! lol!)
