HI IM 19. im new on here, i thought i would share my story! it was the 20th december 2007 at 22:30 when i started to feel twinges, but being a first time mum i wasnt to sure what was going on. i got home and layed in bed but knew something wasnt right as i had felt odd for a couple of days! the cramps got worse so i knocked on my landladys door who happens to be 71. i told her i needed the phone in my room as i thought something could be happening. i went to the bathroom at 1.30 am 21st december{my due date} an my waters went with a gush. i phoned up my local birthing centre as it was where i was expecting to deliver. she told me to have a warm bath an take some paracetamol as i thought my contractions were irregular, i now realise i couldnt time them because they were constant. i was sick 2 times whilst speakin to the midwife on the phone. my landlady ran me a bath. i got in out in out in out .... i couldnt stay still or breathe for that matter! i got out for a final time and was bending over the back of the toilet when i told my landlady to phone another hospital because i couldnt handle the pain! i could hear her talking on the phone when everything went blurrey an i felt myself pushing without even meaning to.a strange sensation went through my body i felt my babys head i shouted "the babys coming"! "what now"?! she replied i said yes she ran in with towels by the time she came in i was holding him,! he was blueish and wasnt crying so i picked him up an flicked him like i have seen on tv. he cried an i held my baby boy for the first time! it was amazing! even though i had to wait 10minutes for an ambulance and an hour for a midwife to arrive... it was still the best day of my life!!!!
