my births!! hehe

well i have been reading all ur births stories so thought i'd tell u mine!!

AMY.... my waters broke at 10am thurs morning 20th may!! went to my mums at midday... we watched bout 3films.. lol cant remember them tho!!! my contractions were bout 3mins apart at 1am so we decided was time to go to hospital... got there and was examined at 3am.... i hadnt even started dilating!!!! i was devastated!!!! my contractions felt so strong and were close 2geva.. got examined again at 7am...1cm dilated!!! it went like this for hours!! i got in such a state they decided to give me pethidine!! i end up having 3lots of this!! at 5.30pm i was allowed to start pushin... i just cudnt do it...she kept going back in... amys heart rate began to drop and if i didnt get her out soon i was gonna b rushed in 4a c-section.... 7.22pm and my baby arrived!!!! i had to stay in hosp due to exhaustion!!!

WILLIAM.... well i was told 2nd time round it'd b easier... yea rite!!!! he started sun 7th aug..8pm... i went to bed but got no sleep due to contractions... went to mums midday next day... contractions were getting stronger and closer 2geva but were still irregular!! this time no waters broke!! i got to the hospital at 1am again!! hehe this time i was determined to have nothing so held out!!! i started having gas and air at 8am tues morning!! the midwife broke my waters at 9.30am... she said 20mins and baby'l b here!! nope... 2hrs later i had the drs in the room wit me coz he was laying the wrong way so cudnt get him out!!!! the dr laid me back and felt the baby... and miraculously 2mins later william arrived!!! lol had to stay in hosp again due to exhaustion!! lack of sleep and food does that!! :-)

SARAH..... was excellent!!! started at 2am xmas morning!! woke my kids up to open their present at 4am.... left for hospital at 5.30 am..... had gas and air.... wasnt allowed to push due to prolapse so had to breathe thru most of the contractions.... then 2pushes and she was out!!!! gr8 birth but then they cudnt get out the afterbirth... the umbilical cord snapped... the membrane broke up inside me.... i had to have a drip... a cathetar... examined loads of times.... lost over a litre of blood... had to stay in hosp for 2days!!! so yea this xmas was the best and worse i'v eva had!!! hehe

but do u kno wot.... i'd do every single labour and birth again if it meant having my 3beautiful children all ova again!!! :-)

Yeh and then when we go into labour we ask why we did it again until baby arrives to remind you x

Just goes to show that no two births are the same x

Well i congratulate you on 3 labours!
im having my 1st baby which is due on valentines day and to be honest im a little apprehensive about giving birth!!
