My home birth | | I had my first child at hospital and absolutely hated it, the midwives were rude and left me alone for hours on end and as a first time mum it was pretty scary so when i fell pregnant with my daughter me and my hubby decided we wanted a home birth. our midwife was against the idea because i had low iron but we were determined to go ahead anyway with or without their consent and we are so happy we did.
at about 11pm while eating a curry and drinking rasberry tea i had cramps and went for a bath, half an hour later my husband rang the midwife and within 20mins she arrived, she panicked as i was already 9 centimeters dilated and the second midwife wasnt going to get there on time!
but it all went smoothly and nice and quick as the labour only lasted two and a half hours from start to finish and then afterwards we could relax with baby and a cuppa which was great.
i'd definately reccommend a home birth to anyone. |
