My home birth

I had my first child at hospital and absolutely hated it, the midwives were rude and left me alone for hours on end and as a first time mum it was pretty scary so when i fell pregnant with my daughter me and my hubby decided we wanted a home birth. our midwife was against the idea because i had low iron but we were determined to go ahead anyway with or without their consent and we are so happy we did.

at about 11pm while eating a curry and drinking rasberry tea i had cramps and went for a bath, half an hour later my husband rang the midwife and within 20mins she arrived, she panicked as i was already 9 centimeters dilated and the second midwife wasnt going to get there on time!

but it all went smoothly and nice and quick as the labour only lasted two and a half hours from start to finish and then afterwards we could relax with baby and a cuppa which was great.

i'd definately reccommend a home birth to anyone.

I thought about home birth but was worried. So nice to hear someone saying they recommend it. Hospitals are Poo.

lol, yeah hospitals are definately poo! we've decided the next one will be an unassissted home birth, im confident i can do it with just my husband there so we're going to do it that way next time.

id love a home birth as well, but seeing as this one hasnt popped yet ill let you know after ive had this one lol!
