never easy

i have three lovely children and although all of my births were straightforward and quick

no1 3 1/2 hours

no2 2 1/2 hours(just made it to hosp!)

no3 1 3/4

i have always had some sort of complication afterwards

no1 i had to stay in hosp for 2 days due to the effect of pethedine(i was a wreck)

no2 baby tested positive for group b strep and had to have 48 hrs intravenous antibiotics

no3 caught an infection from the lacenta which had started to break down and we had to spend 3 days in hospital

what a pain but at last my babies were safe

wow ur labours were certainly str8 4ward...shame bout after affects tho!!

i was the opposite.... had annoyly long labours..36 and 39hours...wit 2and half hrs of 2nd stage!! had to stay in ova night but that was just due to exhaustion! i had no after effects!!!

so like u say....its neva easy or str8 4ward!!! :smile:
