Default Pre-eclampsia

Hiya girls well as some of you know when i was 34 weeks pregnant i got admitted to hartlepool hospital as i had pre-eclampsia which is were you have high blood pressure, protein in your water and swelled hands feet and face.
The doctors couldn't decide what they wanted to do with me if they wanted to deliver the baby or keep her in abit longer. I got to 35 weeks and 1 day. The doctors decided to induce me they put three pesary's in and i only went to 1cm so they did an emergency section i was really scared i didn't want to go in the room at all. My boyfriend helped me through it all he held my hand all the way through. I got the spinal injection which felt really wierd like a burning sensation through my legs and up to my stomach. It felt like i was getting stood on the whole time. After what felt like a life time i heard my little girl crying it was the most amazing thing ever my boyfriend got hold of his little girl and brought her to me for a kiss she was and still is beautiful. They took her to special care as she was 5 weeks early she wasn't by her self though her daddy went with her while i got stitched up. Afterwards i just wanted to see the baby but i felt wierd i couldn't feel my legs, i couldn't move. The next day at 7:00am i pushed myself out of bed to go and see her bearing in mind i had, had the section at 6:22pm the day before so not even 12 hours LOL.
She was worth all the pain though but i defintely wouldn't go through it all again.

Granted it's not the "ideal" birth, but you are gladly both safe and well. Well done you! You'll have to get a new baby Ruby ticker now so we can keep a track on her getting older day by day!

You still did it, and the main thing is you and your beautiful little baby girl are both well, as for the no more babies, thats what I said after Melissa, you never know you might change your mind, let you get over this one first Definatly get a baby ticker, it'll be lovely to follow her growing up.

Hi i'm new to the site, but just wanted to say my birth experience was similar. i had pre-eclampsia at 34+4 weeks and when they scanned me my daughter was breech. I went straight in for a c-section. I also had very swollen feet and hands and face! My daughter didn't need to go into sc even though she weighed 4lbs 7oz, but they kept close eye on her for a while. I am now pregnant with my second baby and wondering if i'll get pre-eclampsia again?

Hiya just read your post sorry i took so long lol
Well im not too sure but my mam had pre-eclampsia with my sister then didn't get it again with me or my brother.
Also the midwife said if i was planning on having anymore that it would be a small percentage to get it your more likely to get it second time round if you change your partner. apparently
