With Ruby I started getting pains on Feb 9th at 6am, I managed to stay at home until 11pm when Terry was adamant it was hospital time as I was rolling round the bed, got to hospital and I was only 1 and a half centimetres!!!!#
Got sent to maternity ward with two painkillers and nobody came to check on me throughout the night I didnt have a clue where the toilets were or how to get hold of a midwife! When I eventually got took to the delivery suite the babys heart rate was dropping due to me being dehydrated. I got put on a drip to regulate my contractions and was given diamorphine which knocked me out and I can only remember bits after that so I was determined not to have that again if I had anymore x
Eventually at 5pm Feb 10th on her actual due date Ruby Isabel arrived with a little help from the ventouse weighing in at a healthy 7lb 15oz. |
