Default too posh to push?!

ook was wayching loose women and they were talking bout elective c-sections... and was wondering ur thoughts on this? if u have chose to have one? or wud u?
after my 2births i think i wud serioously consider a c-section if given the option.. but thats coz i'v had a hard time in my births.. but then again... i have no medication or stitches... and not really any complications so then again i wud prob b silly if i did!! i dont think its rite for some1 to choose to have a c-section just so they can have a baby on a certain day, or to get bak to work etc!!!!

wot r ur thoughts!!!?

I had a c-section after 3 normal births (if you can call a breech and a home birth normal!) and I hated it! I'd rather spend a week in labour and giving birth than have to do it again which is partly why we don't have another baby already! I think it's wrong if c-sections are given for any other reason than medical (and I can appreciate there are a lot of medical reasons for having to have them), and being too posh to push is an absolute joke!

I must admit it really hurts to give birth naturally, but at the same time i'd rather be able to see the miricle happening lol...Life being pushed out from the inside...
But if i was given the choice i would probably have one

If needed all good and well! But what about them famous women who have more money than sense! Like britney, she wanted him born on her first sons birthday, hey presto, she got it!!! Personally, I'd rather feel part of my babys birth, its wonderful knowing you did all the work. But if it needed to be done, then it would need to be done, either way, the main thing is your baby is born fit and well!

Well i had to have one with Haydn Unfortunately, but if he wasn't the wrong way around all the way through pregnancy i would of gave birth naturally, i'd of liked to see my baby when it came out and hold it, but the trouble is with a c-section is once your sudated you have to sleep it off and you miss a few hours bonding session so....I'd of gave birth naturally

I was petrified of giving birth all the way through my pregnancy and wehn it came down it I thought the whole experience was wonderful. It bloody hurt mind you but I would do it again tomorrow. Like most people I would only opt for the C Section for medical reasons.

i went through 24 hours of hell with my 1st, she was positioned back to back with me and i was pushing for 2 hours with horrendous back pain. In the end they gave me an epidural ready for an emergency c-section and all the pain just melted away i could have kissed the woman who did it. i was so relieved. I really wanted to give birth naturally, but she just got stuck. She also had to have the crash team to revive her as it had taken so long, the only good thing was i didn't know what was happening, but my hubby did and he was terrified cause everything was taken out of our hands. I was v. lucky and was up and about quickly but i didn't bond as quickly as i had hped, i felt all the decisions were being made for me. I suffered with pnd, don't know if the birth contributed to it. i was then told that it would be dangerous for me to have a natural birth so with my 2nd i had an elected c-section and i have to say what a positive experience it was as for me the 1st birth was tramatic and the 2nd was just so calm and enjoyable, i'd been exhausted on my 1st but i felt rested and ready for anything with the last one. so i think it depends on the circumstances with c-sections but obviously if i 'd been able to i'd have wanted a natural delivery, but things don't always go as planned.
