I went overdue and had to be induced, I went to the hospital at 5 pm for induction with the prostaglandin gel. I was hopeful things would be quick going as at my hospital app 4 days before I was told she was on my cervix and everything was ready for labour. But no! shed moved, anyway they put the gel in at 7pm, about half an hr later I was having strong contractions about every 3 mins, so I asked to be examined, I cried when I was told I could go up to the labour ward as I was 5 cms!!! lol after being in the labour ward for an hr id only gone another cm so they then decided to break my waters, thats when things kicked off! the pain was continuous and not long after i felt I needed to push. I got her head out but then her shoulders got stuck, apparantly shed turned her body to the side as Id pushed her out!! ouch, after a few pushes i got her out. on my notes it states I was in labour for 3 and a half hrs.
