Default 13 months and still no teeth!!!

Girlies i don't know whether to be concerned or not. My daughter is nearly 13 months and doesn't have a single tooth and no signs of them coming either. It doesn't stop her from eating at all but surely there should have been something by now?!!! :?:

I don't know any other babies with the same problem and just wondered if anyone here has? Has anyone got any tips or advice or knows of any ways to try and coax her teeth to push up through her (obviously extremely hard) gums?

Emma & (a very gummy) Abigail xx

My third born Stanley, still had no signs of teeth at 14months (but could still managae to eat absolutely anything) so when I next saw my health visitor I mentioned it to her. She said if he didn't have a single tooth by 16months to take him back so they could arrange some x-rays etc. So, at 16 months I took him back and he cut his first tooth that very morning! Don't worry, they'll grow!

Hiya,

I don't think you have any need to be concerned, my second daughter was the same, she had no teeth or signs of getting any teeth til she was nearly 14 months old.
I was worried as all my friends babies who were the same age had lots teeth and she was the only one that had none!
She also had no problems eating anything at all.
I took her to the dentist and he just said be patient they will come and
once she cut her first tooth all the rest just seemed to come really quickly.
So don't worry they will come through eventually.

Thanks guys. My health visitor didn't seem worried but you know what its like. Plus it doesn't help that my health visitor doesn't actually have any children of her own!!! Guess I just needed some reassurance.

I'll have to keep you all informed of the toothy action!!!

Emma & Abigail xx
