any ideas

come on now ladies can anyone give me any ideas on how to get rid of kidney pain. the past 2 days my back has been agony, i know its my kidney as i am prone to kidney stones.ive drank so much over the past 2 days i may aswell live in the loo.i was in bed at 10pm last night in so much pain, but i know if i go to the docs he will send me in to hospital, and i spend enough time there as it is.anyone any ideas?

i havent chick but u should go the docs u might need them removing if ur in that much pain or go to a&e

the last time i had stones i had to stay in hosp for 6 days, they just starved me and i had all these scans .they just like stones to pass through.ive been takin paracetmol but they dont seem to be helpin.they say keep drinkin but if i drink much more ill float away like a balloon. ill av to c the doc in the morn i think.

yeh i think u will have to just be firm with them if they take u in hos tell them u dont want ne more test u want it sorted and now i did that when riley was a baby they messed around with him for days and i took him home in the end cos they werent bothered and when i did go bk i screamed at the doc and swore at her i was fuming and an hour l8tr he was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis well it wasnt even an hour

i thinm ill have to , r local hosp dosen't take kidney patients i have to travel 15 miles to the hosp that does. ill c my doc in the morn. they told me the last time if the stones dont pass through, they have to stay put. as im diabetic and they dont like to mess with them. im fed up of it now. the last lot i had my mum had to call 999, i was so ill. ill let you know how i get on.

You look after yourself Clare and dont take no rubbish of the doctors, it cant be nice going through so much pain so often, hopefully you will get this sorted then you can pamper yourself.

cheers hun at the mo im just grinnin and bearin it,but i can only stand it for so long.ill soon know if the stones r passin,thats when i have to call 999.wont go that far this time i hope,if its not 1 thing its another, thats the joys of being diabetic im affraid.

And not just drinking loads but drinking the right stuff is supposed to help. Cranberry juice is very good but if you don't like the taste try mixing it with pineapple juice (is also great with vodka or rum !)
