ok..im lookin to go to cumbria..the lake district in next couple of weeks.. only for 2nights... and jst me and hubby!!! we want somewhere tat is fairly isolated, so rather not a big hotel, also somewhere that we can just step out the door and their r lots of scenic walks!! i kno this is most of the lake district but i really want some idyllic and extra special... just want some time wit just me and james.... no1 else and nothing else!!!!

i have been lookin on internet andfond some lovely farm b&bs but i'v neva been so wud love to hear ur views!!!

i went there as a child, if i remember right we stayed in a hotel over looking lake conniston. lovley place.

well i'v booked in2 a cottage B&B... its called stockghyll cottage and it is in bowness on windermere.... its only £30 PPPN... we have got a room wit a view of woodlands and waterfall!!!

and i cant wait... my sisteris having kids on the fri.. then passing them to my dad on the sat and we will b back sun teatime!!

this is the 1st time i'v eva left my2 so am bit anxious... but also really need time to ourselves.. esp b4 baby no.3 is here!!!

the cottage only has 2other rooms... so we will b near enough completely alone.... oh i cant wait......

hope you have a nice time chic.its a beautiful place. when i was young my nan and grandad took me to see donald campbells memorial. lake conistion is beautiful. and its so peacefull.

Hillsdale in Ambleside is really nice... we stayed there... we still have the guest house phone number if you wanted it... it is rural... lots of fresh air... it is lovely and quiet. Each season has its own special magic with spectacular scenery
