anyone with premature baby?

hi,im just wondering if anyone here has a baby that was preterm that is now around 2 years old or more,if so could i ask some questions,just wondering was their speech delayed,and how are there concentration levels and do they eat well for you,and do they seem a bit over active?i just ask because i think my boy has some problems in these areas,and i read somewhere that this can happen with preemies,does it improve much in time?

Hi. My baby was prem. 8 weeks prem, she came out weighing 5lb8oz. and was 41cms. she is going to be 3 in june, and everything you have written is her. her speech is delayed, she cant get out big sentences still, but is trying. I took her swimming for 2 hours this morning, then walked everywhere and she is still going strong. From half 5 / 6 oclock in the morning til 8. Sometimes she wont go to bed until 11. But still haves to much energy. She can consentrate on things, espeically painting, but will go off after a while and get something else.

thanks for the reply hun,i wasnt sure weather this was normal or not,i have read that these things do happen in preemies but just needed to ask anyway.im just hoping he will calm down though,he is 2 in june so i would imagine it will be a while before that happens,lets hope for the best eh?!thanks again hun. xx
