Default Ever feel like the maid?

I tell ya, I think my kids think I am a maid!! They are constantly leaving their stuff lying around like they have no reason to put it away! I can see younger children needing a little help and reminding in that area, but my 2 oldest are 10 and 12 and I would think they shouldn't need to be told to do it all the time. Anyone else ever feel like they are the maid of the house?

i agree with you i feel the same.i feel i live to clean up everyone elses mess.my kids r 12,10,3,16 months.the youngest 2 are exempt but the other 2 are not,i mean it does not hurt them to pick up their clothes, keep their rooms tidy or just help out a bit.my husbands the same you can always tell where they have been there is a trail of mess.i have got so fed up i have now gone on strike to see if they change there ways, but i have probably got more chance of winning the lottery!

Oh, definatley, this is one thing my parnter and I are always having words over, hes 25 and I wouldnt mind if it was just little things but his washing has to walk to the machine all by itself,i have to cook the tea and everything else in the house! I have to keep reminding him that I am 13 weeks pregnant and Im not suposed to be lugging around bags of shopping but then he just watches, the kids arent too bad as they are only 18 months and 7 months so I dont mind keeping their things although Keira helps wer she can bless her. If you fancy a whinge or just a chat then let me know, Id be happy to chat with you.regards emma

My little one is 3 weeks old and is my first and i am fed up of hearing "what have you been doing all day" just because the house isnt spotless. He should try it. being a mum is a 24 hour job unlike his 8 hour one! MEN!!!
