As an ex nursery manager i have seen hundreds of women devastated at leaving their children at 6 weeks onwards to return to work.
I think the successful ones were the ones who balanced their work life with their home life. Their days off became proper quality time with baby and the thorough house work became a quick flit round!
The ones that really got to me were the ones who put babe in at 7a.m. still in their P.J's with a soaking wet nappy, collected them at 6p.m 5 days a week and when they had holidays took quality time for themselves and left babe in nursery! I wonder why people have children sometimes.
When it has to be done though it is a different matter & I wish you loads of luck.
You are lucky that your Mum is going to be looking after Holly, you will have a very balanced little girl as i find my parents say and do things I wouldn't even think about, I think it's being from a different generation and the relationship will be so strong. So many people live away from their extended family nowadays that I think children who have got Grandparents near by are so lucky.
Think of the positive things to come out of you working... you will be able to go on days out possibly holidays and you are creating a great role model for Holly. All the best!

I don't want to sound harsh, but sometimes it's a bit of a release going to work, you get to be you for a while & keep your identity  Im sure it'll all work out regardless hun.
