Default Jealousy...Advice anyone?

Well since justin's arrival...Maddie has been so bad, the other day i was feeding justin on my knee and Maddie was sat next to me watching. I'm fine with her watching me...I usually let her hold him for a while before he goes to bed but only when i'm there so i can keep my eyes on her...But yesterday i was feeding justin and she lashed out and hit him in the head with her toy...I was very mad and my boyfriend took her upstairs straight away..

She's been out of control recently and i was just wondering if it's jealousy...And if it is how can i get around it?

Many thanks

Lauren, Maddie, Meredith & Justin

Get maddie to join in everything to do with caring for the baby, the way I did it was get my little man Jevan to wipe baby Eche's bottom, and hold onto the bottle when he was given water... wipe his mouth after his breast milk.

Where ever possible try and get them involved to make them feel useful and part of the baby's life.

i know someone whos got a new little one and her 1st son is 7. he helped with the baby at first but know his mum has got married he has gone into a shell. his nan and grandad feel hes being left out now, so instead of him getting to the jealous stage, when they babysit they get the lad to join in and help with the little one. so far its getting him back to normal. hope it gets better chic.

aww.. bless her.. it is a bit of jealousy.. its such a big change for children.. wen u r pregnant they r expecting a baby they can play with... not a new born!!

understanding is important but also make sure she knows wot she is doing is naughty!! try and involve her as much as u can... ie.. ask her to get nappies, babywipes etc... let her help u wash him... and mayb preparing the bottles...

i got all this to look 4ward to too.... so good luck hun and hope it all calms down soon!!
