Henry's really good with his manners - like you, it's the first thing I've taught all of mine. Once when my mum babysat, he has a cup of hot milk before bed, and they were sat on the sofa and he knocked the cup (didn't spill any) but he said "sorry milk". My mum said she fell off the sofa laughing!
But he naughty side of me taught my friend's daughter Ruby, every time her mum says "what's the magic word" she now says "abracadabra" I think it's brilliant! I love doing things with other people's kids you wouldn't dream of doing with your own!

I've made sure that my children have good manners, there is no reason why children shouldn't have manners, they are one of the few things in the world that cost nothing. They always say please, thank you, sorryetc. If we are at anyones house they always ask politely if they can go the toilet & always wait to offered something & never ask for it. If we go on the bus they always say thank you to the driver, if crossing the road they always put their hand up to the driver to say thanks & keep doors open for others when they're light enough for them to keep open. The lady at my local shop love it when they go in because they are always polite & well behaved. Alfie evens tells her to have a nice day!! If we have visitors my eldest lewis always says take care after he's said goodbye. I feel really proud to know that people notice & appreciate good manners from my children

I agree with you lot, manners are the easiest thing to teach our kids. Manners will take them a long way in life, Ruby says "ta"
