Her name is Amelia - the same as my daughter. It's an absolute miracle that she survived and I hope she thrives now she's home!

I know - it's so sad that premature babies generally have so many medical and special needs. Still, she's a little blessing and she's alive!

i just cant get over how tiny she is... only 4lb now!! i think its wonderful and i think the abortion time period shud be reconsidered now... considering that people can stil terminate at 24 weeks... amelia proves that these babies are able to survive... dont get me wrong im not against terminations, quite the opposite actually.. but i do think they shouldn allow it so late on if they'res no medical reason anyways!! im sorry, ranting on! she's a little miracle!!

got a good point there like bout the abortion laws.... never reely thought about it wen she was born.. they should review them... n i am dead against abortions.. but am open to views for them aswell.. i just think that if a child can live at 22 weeks then no way shud ppl still be able to terminate so l8 on at 24weeks... hopefully she will be ok and her parents are very lucky... ***

Charley - I'm so glad you pointed the whole abortion thing out as I was going to make a post about it. I think everyone's entitled to do as they please but I reckon abortion should be done before 12weeks unless it's done on medical grounds later on, and definately no later than 20 or 22weeks. What does everyone else think?

i was a bit weary bout bringing the subject up becoz i dint wanna offend anyone!! but i had a termination when i was fifteen.. 8weeks gone... was the hardest thing in the world but if i didnt do it i wouldnt have my 2beautiful children and wonderful husband i have now!! so im definately not against them just think they need a lot more consideration...

I do think it's a sore subject but only because everybody has a really personal opinion about it and this includes religion too.
I'm sorry to hear you had a termination at 15, that must have been really hard for you. I booked to have a termination when I was 19 as I already had 2 small children, but the night before my appointment I miscarried - fate I suppose, but it's still sad.
I do think the option of abortion should be there for every woman, I just think the law should be changed as to how late you can leave it. If a baby is viable, there's no way a termination should still be possible.
