i have a big issue with ppl who don't understand & say that no child has problems like that as they do & my niece & nephew are proof of that they have wittnessed alot with their mother & father they have also lost their dad at the ages of 10 & 11 years old & my nephew is at boarding school for his adhd so there is children out there with real problems & some more than us adults!!!

I have never actually met anyone with ADHD but watched a few programmes on it, and it must be so hard when people look down their noses cos you cant control your kids and they dont even know the full story. Sorry to hear about your niece and nephew Pinky, must be hard at times.

i hate being on benefits as you get labeled lazy, i would go out to work if i could, i hate being at home, i get shit thrown at me as i dont have any kids so y should i not go to work.wot some ppl dont realise is that some of us are not well enough to work, the others are just on benefits as they dont want to work, it does my head in so much that they get away with it all the time.my hubby has pancreatitus and the benefits keep stopping his money at least once a year, we then have to go to court to get it back.

An old friend of mine had a child with adhd and he also had something else can't remember what, but the poor girl just literally couldn't take him anywhere! He'd throw himself on the floor and scream and thrash at anyone till he got out of the shop!! I really felt for that girl, everyone used to look at her and tut and especially the elderly would tell her he needed discipline, but it just wasn't her fault. And if she actuslly tried to explain that he had problems they'd tell her it was a good excuse for a badly behaved boy!

Its a shame that people feel they have the right to tell you how to raise your children. Even if people dont comment verbally some have nasty looks on their faces, some people are so inconsiderate.

The most annoying thing is you never know what to do!!! One timeout shopping Melissa kicked up a fuss and my way to deal with it was to just ignore her, she soon gets fed up, anyway everyonekept looking and I heard someone say why did'nt I sort her out instead of ignoring her. So then the next time out shopping when she started again, I decided I did'nt want everyone looking so I shouted at her and then everyone looked at me like I was the nastieast person in the world! You just can't win!!!

all these children do suffer & have so much built up frustration in them that they can't express. my nephew gets very aggressive with his & my niece gets very dopey & daydreamy with hers.it's very hard work for all the family & yes sometimes they do use their ondition as an excuse for the way they behave & yes it's very hard to know which is which.!!!
