quite a wierd one really..

Our eldest is coming up to 10 this year and she started asking questions....I sat her down one day and explained in simiplified terms that she could understand....funny though as a couple of weeks later they had school letters go out to parents that the Sex Education programme was starting etc..... so I am guessing about that age really is the best time when they are nearing 10 they have more understanding of things then and its funny she has taken it very much in her stride and actually turned round to me and said UUUURRRGGHHH I cant believe you and Dad do that how disgusting LOL!!!

some schools are actually startin this in nursery now! my friend got a letter the other day warning her they were going to introduce a man and woman with wierd names (cant remember them rite now) into a story so children could be comfortable with there body/ body parts. and help them distinguish between boys and girls and babies, it was headed as sex ed i was quite bemused by it lol. x

bizzare stuff...guess their is method to their madness!!

I'm not really sure to be honest, I think I will just go with the flow. I think the time will come when they are showing signs of wanting to know stuff about it. For example, my son is 8 and he has started this thing that when ever anybody says "do it" he bursts out laughing!! So I think a talk with him isnt long away. Depends on the child I think.
