SUMMEr wheres it gone

where is summer. kids are off 4 6 weeks and we cant do nowt without it costing a fortune, or even jus affording to go anywhere.
my daughter loves fun city and i cant afford 2 take her, i went out 2day 2 buy a lot of arty stuff 2 do with her (supposedly 4 a rainy day well we got a lot of that) and it cost me jus over £10 2 get paper glitter glue and pens cant quite believe it
what are we meant to do.

i know what you mean, althought i have none yet we have alot of kids that live in the house next to us and there ball is constantly going in our garden and there climing over our fence etc i cant wait for them to go back to school cause it is stressing me out! and there quite noisey so hopefuly baby will come when they have gone back to school or he will have a very stressy mummy! lol


Have you tried poundland they do some really good stuff for kids colouring books etc

My little girl is 21 months and loves anything arty and as Charlie mentioned above, I get everything from Poundland. I can get rolls of stickers, crayons, paper all sorts of stuff. Worth a look.

As for the summer Im fed up with it too as we too are stuck indoors so much. It doesnt help being pregnant as I feel more sluggish sitting round the house all day.

We have the father-in-law over from Greece at the moment, he has been here 2 weeks and he has probably picked the worst 2 weeks out of the summer possible! He cannot believe this is a British summer! lol

I know, it is shocking! Luckily, we have loads of crafts and stuff to keep the kids occupied, but there is only so much of that they can do before they get bored. You cant go to the park or for a picnic or anything in the rain!! Lets just hope it bucks up shortly! It will just be typical to have an indian summer when theyre all back in school!

i do like pound land but again coz of weather i cant b bothered traipsing round town i just went to big W last night probs worst place lol.

know wot u mean by indian summer isnt that wot always happens loads of nice weather in september october time, like we did in may, what happened to proper summer july august time.

arrgghhh so sick my daughter needs to be occupied all the time and finds it hard to find something for herself.

try making a fairy outfit out of a old sheet or something together? also in argos they do 20 pots of play dough for £9 something

or if your garden needs weeding or something try and make it into a game? or make some cakes or cookies or flapjacks i made a apple and peach crumble yesterday yum!

we baked cakes 2day, she loved that. and we made a tutu a couple of weeks back, shows you how to do them on ebay and other sites they are so cute and unbelivably easy 2 make. but theres only so much you can do and u get lost, its amazing ive done allsorts n 3 weeks into hols im like, well now what i dont no wot more i can do lol.

is there not any parks etc nearby so she can play on the slide/swing...or a beach thats easy to get to? I guess im lucky cos i just have a lil walk to the park or beach. I no what u mean tho everythings ridiculously expensive atm!

oh yeh we ave a park at bottom of road, but it doesnt have swings. its jus the weather is so crappy at the moment. and beach is 20 min drive away.
jus findin summit 2 do while the weather is so up and down and unpredictable. x

hmmm...how about gettin cheap jigsaws, or board games. I used to like hungry hippos..very noisey but fun! Lol x
