Default swearing mums

i was in tesco yesterday in the buscuits aisle (yum yum). there was this mother with her toddler, probably about 2 or 3 years old. he was throwing a tantrum coz he wanted something he couldnt have. the mother burst into this rage of crude swearing calling him awful names. im not talking names like "you little bugger", im talking real nasty names. (f words, c words etc) i was mortified, as were other shoppers in the aisle.

im sure we all get times when our kids test us, but throwing the most abusive language at them isnt the answer. dont get me wrong, i swear, but i wouldnt do at my daughter, and certainly not the language this woman was using.i was so embarrassed to have stood there and witnessed it.

It's terrible but unfortunately happens all the time. I hate it when I see it but you feel like there's nothing you can say or do as you're either going to make matters worse for the kid by infurriating the parent even more, or get yourself beaten up or worse! It's so sad...........

the thing that makes me laugh is when a parent tells a child off for swearing.wot can they expect when they swear at them all the time.

I get very upset by these things. But unfortunately where I live it's an every day occurance for the majority of parents and children. I seem to have not accepted it, but certainly got used to it, over these last 5 years that I've been here.
