Don't do it lol !! I'm only joking i when we got married we asked for close family to give us money instead of gifts which we then used to pay for the food at our reception etc. Just have a good shop around if you can, it's amazing how much prices can differ. Let as many people know what you are looking for if you're lucky they may keep their eyes & ears open whilst shopping etc. Good luck with your big day & enjoy it

hey there do you know anyone who would make your dress for you as a wedding gift or someone to do your hair as a wedding gift? i always said that when my other half decides to get his arse into gear to set a date (taking into account we've been engaged for 5 years) that i would get my mum to do my dress. (the rate i'm going she will be too old to do it!!!)

Let me see....my budget was about that too. We screwed the caterers down for the cost of the meals per head, and on the wine and champers too. Made own invites and favours. Got a friend who makes cakes for a living to make the cake which was beautiful. We didn't have button-hole flowers for everyone, just the bridal party.

Got bridesmaid dresses made. They were soooooo much cheaper. Whole outfit with shoes head-dress and flowers came in at under £90 each.

Have you got any friends with a really posh car like a nice BMW or Mercedes to drive you to the wedding? We managed to scrounge a blue Bentley from a friend who drove us to the wedding on the day!

Off the top of my head, not sure if I can think of anything else - oh hang on. BHS do really reasonable priced shoes for bridesmaids and bridal shoes too. Bridal shoes can be bought for around £25. Bargain!
