Default WEIGHT LOSS SUPPORT TOPIC ANYONE?


Hi all,

Basically, Ive somehow managed to put on about an extra stone of unwanted weight, but now Im in the right frame of mind, Im aiming to lose around a stone and a half to two stone. (come on size 10, I miss you!!!)

Anyone fancy losing a little weight and joining me with this support thread for all those of us who (like me) are champion at resisting the key factors!!

What I am doing is at least 30 mins of high energy exercise a day and eating healthily, but support and sharing experiences and difficulties is always good!

So, any takers

At the end of every day I plan to write down on here what I have done in the form of exercise and what I have eaten. That sound about right? That way, I will have more drive to do well if you catch my drift

I would most defintely like to lose weight!!
I thought i would be able to go back into my size 10 after having Ruby but no it still hasn't happened.
I don't have a clue what to eat healthly ( i know you might think im stupid) lol

I'd just like to add that anyone can join in at any time! all welcome!

Well, here goes, my first 'entry'

*this morning I did 30 mins of high energy exercise (inc sit ups, push ups etc)
(best done in the morning as it kick starts your metabolism)
*I had a banana for breakfast and a glass of water
*For lunch I had a small portion of noodles and a good sized salad
*Then, i cleaned the house, did housework etc and by the end of it I was sweating like a horse - must count as some kind of exercise!
*Then I danced like a mad 'un with my daughter for 10 minutes
*I had half a grapefruit as a snack
*For my tea, I had mashed potato, fish cakes, broccoli and cauliflower

Not bad for the first day, eh Hows about you lot

Now...will I be able to resist a glass of wine with my sister in law?

i defo need to loose some weight. id like some tips, but i have to be really carefull with the diabeties. anyone got any ideas

Right, are we still all up for the losing weight together thing? Hope so anyway

Clare, i agree, you do have to be very careful not to upset your diabetes, so it might be a good idea to ask your doctor for some advice too, but I'd say that drinking plenty of water, doing good exercise every day and eating a balanced diet should be safe enough.

The whole point of this is not starving ourselves by any means, besides, i like food lol.

As for exercise, if you havnt done any for a while, then you may well hae to start out by doing say 15 mins a day, then in a week or so, you'll find that you will be able to add 5 or 10 mins onto that.

The recomended amount is 30 mins, 5 times a week, but I am doing 30 mins every day

And its best to do it in the morning. Then I'm continuing to do an entry on here every night of what ive done and eaten

oops, nearly forgot..the weighing part!!

Im going to weigh myself once a week on the same day, starting from tomorrow morning (it's best to weigh first thing).

How does that sound? Thursdays ok?
