Bloody government and their rules

I am sick of being asked every time I need Identification for a passport, Driving licence or other photo ID...I have never been abroad, cannot drive due to my disability, and dont hold a students union card... yet without one of them I cannot open a new bank account, cannot get bright house account...the government keep harping on about bringing id cards into uk... so bloody do it then.... I begrudge buying a passport which is what? £80 or more just to open a bank account. It is ridiculous.
I work now for an extras company doing extras work for a production company. I am meant to do a promotional video for the queen to see and a select number of guests, I would be working with four A list celebs on friday but cannot so it because i do not have photo id...as it is for an opening of a place... cannot say what or where due to confidentiality....
This is the only job with the need for photo id as it is for security reasons.

I think they should get a move on and get a move on with the photo id for all the members of uk

same here chic like you i dont have a passport or a driving licence. and i aint buying a passport just to prove who i am. the only id i have really is my national ins card,which means nothing after the age of 18. i had to open up an account at the bank, it was so difficult with no id.in the end they took a reacent bill,for the address and a social letter for the name.
im not being runny and i hope i dont upset anyone but,the immigrants that come into the country,dont have to worry about id.they get jobs and open up bank accounts, get given houses which get fully furnished for them. i dont think its right at all.

It does suck not having ID and if people need ID for things they should make those ID items cheap if not free. Before I came over here I opened up a HSBC bank account for me to use in England in Australia but... I was coming here to Birkenhead and had to go to London to pick up my cards which was like 6 hour drive there then back. As for passport's I had to pay for 2 passports 1 was $95 and the other was $150. Not cheap but the price you have to pay to show who you really are. Iv been here nearly 3 years in January and within a month of me being here I asked about a NIN card. One person would say this that and the other ring here ring there and nothing. Took me like a 1-2 years to get a NIN with a few frikking letters on it and 8 numbers. These days nothing is easy for anyone... people just dont want to deal with you and help you out. Like you go to the bank to speak to someone about something and they send you to those stupid frikking phones to speak to someone who no offence doesnt speak very good english. I sort of think if I wanted to speak to someone on the phone about it I would of stayed at home and spoke to them there the reason I have come into the bank to speak to someone is because I want to speak to someon face to face not over the phone. They just cant be assed helping people and dealing with you...
