Default bullies!

Melissa came home last wk saying a girl had bit her, but I didn't believe her as she lives in a fantasy world. Well last night she wet the bed and she's never done that since she was dry. So I asked the teacher if all was well and what I found out has upset me so much, I'm in tears. Apparantly she was bitten, a little girl is picking on her and the teacher is making notes so they don't go up into the same class. But now the teacher has to go in to the toilets with the children, even though she's not allowed just to make sure this little girl is not picking on melissa. She calls her a baby and is so nasty to her! Melissa is so gentle and sweet and wouldn't hurt anyone. The thougth of my little baby been so scared she wet the bed upsets me so much! The teacher said that if Melissa were to hit her once to show her she wasn't scared she would turn a blind eye cos this little girl needs to be taught a lesson. The worst thing is Melissas only been at school 3 wks and they're only 4yrs old! Her mother should be ashamed of herself having a 4yr old whos a bully! If I see her mum when I pick Melissa up I'll end up saying something! I don't want to send Melisssa to school now.

I'm just so upset, I'm supposed to protect her, but by taking her to school I feel I'm handing her to the bullies!

its simple if nothing gets done do what i would do tell the nursery if nothing is sorted then you report them to the education department & police & throw in for good measures that you will take them to the papers if needs be!

Omg Debbie, how distressing for you! I can't beleive it and you've upset me too! I can't beleive the school didn't say anyhting to you about all this - that's disgusting, they are supposed to tell you even if they suspect it let alone all ready dealing with it! I too would have to say something to the mother - if she doesn't know it's happening, she won't be able to deal with it. Good luck hun, big huggle from me for you and melissa and keep us posted.

Omg Debbie tha's terrible. I agree with all that has been said already. The nursery should have told you straight away & the Melissa hitting her back won't solve it. You need to have a chat with the girls mum or ask for teachers to arrange for the three of you to sit & discuss what is happening & where to go next. Don't be put off sending melissa to school just reassure her as much as you can. It's in no way your fault. Im sending all the love hugs & kisses in the world to you both. I hope that you get the problem sorted. I would also request to meet with the headteacher if you still feel let down

Awww bless him he's a good boy! Like I said before though, if the mum knows about it she can deal with it, good that she listened to you and didn't immediately get her back up as some parents can be like that too.
