@nooo@ This subject gets me so mad!!!!!!!! Every time this family comes around i know for certain that I will be in the bathroom that night de nitting my kids hair. I hate it so much Thank goodness I don;t have girls with long hair just boys with short hair. i feel so sorry for you Mums with girls with long hair. It can take me up to an hour to de-nit one of my kids hair. I cannot imagine how long it would take to do a girls long hair!!!

its a dreaded horid nite mare !! i cannot stand lice/nits

they drive me bonkers. my son had them at 2, and i havent a clue where he got them from !!

i got them myself at xmas and i havent a clue where the hell they come from as i was the only 1 who had them !!

i cursed the person who gave me them, as it took me ages to get rid of them as i have long thick hair !!!

i've been quite lucky with my kids so far - none of them have caught nits. i have still always treated their hair once a week since they were about 12 months old & it seems to have kept them away. one of my friends however isnot so lucky. her daughter is always ctaching them even though she is constantly treating her. she is fine duringhalf terms but as soon as she goes back to school she gets them again. i think its totally unfair that other parents do nothing to combat the infestation when others spend a fortune on products.

I have been given a note by a freind about treating headlice... apparently dermatologists are recommending using mayonaise to kill and remove head lice from children instead of toxic prescription drugs and over the counter preparetions. Nits ar becoming immune to all the chemicals and are developing into super bugs?
Apparently you put a liberal amount of mayo on your childs hair before bed making sure it is well distributed and put a shower cap on him or her before they sleep, then in the morning shampoo and condition their hair combing the corpses out of the hair... do this again 7 days from the first time and they will be clear of nits and all the eggs hatched after the first treatment will also be dead.
I have never heard of that before
