Default hospital waiting hours

last night i took ashley to a+e because she was vomiting and there was red stuff in it which made me panic cuz i thought it was blood. anyway we had to wait 4 HOURS TO be seen i was not impressed, and not meaning to sound gross but she isnt digesting food properly cuz its coming out exactly as it went in in her dirty nappies! all they said was to give her plenty of fluids and put her back on solids slowly. they said to go back if either problem persisits. it really frightened me as i was on my own(john was working)

but thankfully shes her more cheerful self today

just an idea... but also write down exactly wot u giv her wiv all ingredients as she may have an allergy or not b able to eat a certain food!! also each day write wot her nappies r like.. how often and if she vomits.. wot comes up..colour odour etc... and wen!!! this way if and wen u go to gp u will have a food diary and it will giv them more to work on!!

i had to do this for william as wen he was younger he had diarhhoea (howeva its spelt!! ) all the time and they thought it might have been lactose intolerance.. but just turned out that wen he teeths he gets really ill!!

That's terrible. Our local A&E has a small part for children which is better for the kids, it makes it less scary & the waiting times aren't usually as long in there. I hope that she feels better hun. I remember when Lewis had gastrointeritis , He ended up in A&E after gp said it was 24 hour bug!!! To keep her hydrated try to give her small amounts & often, as the stomach contracts after sickness & continues to make them sick. I was advised to give it Lewis through a syringe, 2.5ml every 10-15 mins or so then gradually up it to 5ml. This stopped him being sick, if this helps you any. You can keep gradually upping the amount as time goes on depending on how well they are

Definatly do a diary, put in it whats she eats then if shes sick and I know this sounds gross but describe the sick and how often she does it. I had to do a diary like that when I was in hospital, and it helps the drs.
Glad to hear she's feeling better now.

the a & e at worcester is totally out of order, i was rushed in by ambulance last year, the paramedics had to treat me outside r house to stableize(cant spell) me.when we got there i had to wait 3 hours to c a doc,who had to give me more morphine 4 the pain. then 6 hours later they informed ant he had to take me 15 miles to the next hospital so they could treat me more with my kidney. ant had to take me in our car as high as a kite on morphine and being sick,or id have had to wait a further 5 hours for an ambulance to take me. ant had been up all nite with me.
