housework hell

Whilst my partner is out enjoying the sun with the kids, i have spent all afternoon doing housework. i did ask him to take them out so i'm fine with him - he pulls his weight - but why is it i can never get on top of the housework? other mums seem to have beautiful spotless homes, and mine usually looks like it's just been burgled, in fact if we were burgled it would probably look better afterwards lol!

I know the feeling, your not alone, and our house certainly isn't spotless! I've come to the decision that however much you do it will always just get messed up again. We've got a big box and I just put all the kids toys in there and anything else just ends up in a big pile that I avoid sorting for weeks lol!

lol the worst part is ironing i hate standing there for 1 hr any1 got any gud i deas how not to do ur ironing lol and i got 1 kid n my house is never spoton lol so i know the feeling especialy wen visitors turn up at the door how embarrasing

I hate ironing too, never mind 1 hour it takes me a good few hours with all our stuff *Yawn*, very boring!!!

Tbh, when you've got kids I don't think somethings quite right if your house is spotless, kids are messy and will always make a mess after youve tidyed up! I think it's better for a house to look llived in and toys everywhere than looking like a showroom. Anyone agree?

i just do my ironing as i go alone coz when i iron everything and hang it up my partner just messes it up and it all ends up in a big pile on the floor!

same here why iron wen my daughter goes thru her clothes getting changed 2 or 3 times a day and clothes end up every where. and i am jus as bad if not worse lol. i always want the thing at the bottom and throw clothes all over lol.
