Default Price of scan pictures!

When we went for our scan last week I was mortified to learn that they now charge £3.00 per picture! When I had my daughter they were free so I was quite shocked to learn I was now going to be charged. I know the NHS need to make money but come on.......it cost me nearly £5.00 to park and then paying for pics.........not a cheap trip to the hospital!

What bugged me most was that I didnt get to choose which picture I wanted I was just given one. SHe printed loads off and looked down them and ripped the bottom one off for me.

Does anyone else gt charged for their scan pics?

We had to make a donation but it was stipulated that it was preferred if you did make a donation and they had a box on the back of the scan room door...the minimum you could give was a £1 but yes they didnt let us choose a picture just simply printed a few and gave the one they wanted.

The first 2 pictures I got from my first scan was free then when I had my second scan we got 6 pictures for £3.50. Was ment to be 4 for that price but she gave us 2 free ones.

i was lucky that i didnt have to pay. there was a donation box in the waiting room which they liked you to use but i didnt realise it was there till i had my 3rd scan!
each time i went they printed 2 or 3 pics and we got to keep all of them. on one scan she kept trying to move baby so we could get a clear pic out of it!
when i was pregs with jess, i had 13 scans due to problems, but didnt get any pics at all in the last 10 scans
