i used to live in a flat.one day my 2 year old nephew came to visit us. he always liked to come up stairs and ring the bell. this one time i went to the landing to him instead, to my shock he was stood there with a used dirty syringe in his hand, it even had blood in it and a needle on the end. i went in to mega shock so did his mum. i even have the news paper clipping to prove it.
the council or the police werent interested, i had to shout my mouth off to get anything done. as soon as it was in the paper they all wanted to help.

i am an insulin dependent diabetic, i have to inject myself 5 times a day TO KEEP ME ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! i dispose of my needles safe so why cant they

I wouldnt worry about what she has to say girls, it looks like she only joined this forum to have her say! I doubt very much she will be back now.. hmm maybe she herself is a druggie and didnt like what we say!

hi everybody guess what im back, and no im not a smack head ,im someones mum just like you ,and remember that those smackheads are someones children can each and everyone of you say that if it were your children who were addicted to drugs you would still have the opinons you do ,im not saying you should welcome them with open arms what i am saying is that they are human beings who are someone elses children ,heroin affects all walks of life remember that ,yes some addicts steal and attack but not all addicts do ,some actually work and one last thing people our kids have to grow up and hopefully none of you will suffer through your child having this terrible illness( just like alcohol,gambling there all addictions that ruin lives)
may you all go to bed tonight and sleep peacefully and not worry what will become of our kids when they grow up because god forebid if they did fall prey to drugs would you want someone to look upon your children as you look upon others

hey chic dont get me wrong im totally against all druggies but im not being nasty to you. i dont know how i would feel if i had a child that turned to drugs,nobody does untill it happens. but all im saying is that no one forced them to take the drugs. no one told your son to take them,like no one told my brothers to take them.my brothers have put my family through so much,we dont even see them now as they are just scum. i have lived around smack heads for the past 7 years, they have all been so nasty to ppl,mugging them,robbing there homes and even beating them up on the streets. yea may be not all of them are the same,and yea i know a few who have gone and got jobs,but still take the smack. at the end of the day its just an addiction not an illness.i i agree no one can say there kids are perfect as they aint,i wasnt perfect as a child who is

well im sorry but i would bring my kids up knowing that ANY KIND OF DRUG is wrong! and it destroys lives..

Thats how we was all brought up and we are al fine, all 24 children in the family..

I can see pollydolly side in a sense at end of day it's her son. BUT i feel that addiction is just that not a illness. No one forces anyone to become a drug addict, gambler or alcoholic etc it is a result of a persons own actions. I was also brought up to know to steer clear of drugs & always have done & will do the same with my children. Maybe before pollydolly spouts on about how her son is ill & for us to think about what she's said ,she'll bear a though for parents who have children, of any age, that are genuinely ill & not suffering as a consequence of their own actions! I have a friend who has a 8 year old daughter who has muscular dystrophy & will not live past her early twenties, she did everything right whilst being pregnant, it's just a cruel fate that she's been given. While your son has wated so much of his life this little girl & her family would do anything to help live the life she'd love but will never have.

Also regarding the chemist situation my local chemist is the same, the addcits go for methadone & are took into a booth however while they get treatment from pharmacist those of use witing for drugs due to being ill are forced to wait for prescriptions to be done because pharmacist is too busy. It's not at all nice to see when im with my children either.

Hi everyone I know that I haven't been around for a while but hey thought I would have my say seeing as it was my son that was the one who picked the syringe up outside clare bears old flat.
At the end of the day I believe if you bring you children up to know write from wrong and how drugs are harmful as well as alchol and gambling then your children will make their own choices but we should all try to stear them in the right direction. No one stands infront of another person and forces them to take drugs. Each person decides if they are going to steal or hurt other people at any given time.

THE MAIN THING I WOULD SAY AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I AM A FIRM BELIVEVER IN THAT THE PATH OUR CHILDREN DECIDES TO TAKE FIRMLY FALLS AT THE DOOR OF THE PARENTS. I HAVE FOUR CHILDREN AND AM WILLING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR MY CHILDRENS ACTIONS AND I THINK THAT IF EVERYBODY ELSE WAS WILLING TO DO THE SAME THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN WOULD BE A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT.

hi divvykate i have 5 children and only one of them turned to a life of crime at the age of 29 years old and yes i am ashamed of him but i wont take responsibility for his crimes like lots of other boys and girls the main reason for his crime is drugs my son comes from a loving family, both his father, brother and sisters and i are gutted but he is still our son. If and when he decides he'll accept the help, I will be there to help him back onto the straight and narrow as a loving mother should be.
