last year on the 2nd of feb mine and my hubbys best friend died from a pulminary embolism aged 28.
it was awful and so easily avoided he had severe cramp in his leg if he had gone to the dctor it would have been picked up and he would still be here today.
we find it hard he was only married 6 months and his wife is a real mess still we keep in contact with his family but the hole will always be there.
a bit of both i think -he thought it was funny we all laughed at him as he told us he was off work for cramp but he didn't say how bad it was and just rubbed deep heat into it.
it was so bad he couldn't climb the stairs if i had known how bad it was i would have urged him to go to the docs as in my job we get quite a few suspected dvt patients-but he just said he had cramp and was off work then on the morning he died he had a shower and collapsed making toast and had a fit then came round his wife had called an ambulance but before it arrived he started to fit again and was dead on their arrival.
it really is and was a very hard time-we miss him loads and we all still struggle as it was so out of the blue..
the funeral was fabulous-as much as they can be! we all said our goodbyes in the chapel of rest and had the service we all waalked in convoy and then we all got seriosly smashed listening to his i pod in a hotel!!
will always miss him.
