I lost my grandad in 2001 after a battle with cancer. I was really close to him & cared for him with my nan. The three of us went through alot. There isn't a day that i don't think of him. I find comfort in our good times & the way i look at it is people live with us for as long as they are in our thoughts. My eldest son was only 18 months when he died & my other 2 never met him. They know about him & that he lives in heaven, they say heaven is high in the sky. They say that he lives in heaven but at night he stays in the moon to look over us while we sleep. As soon as the moon is visible they say goodnight , sweet dreams & love you to Grandad Jim. Life does go on unfortunately its just never the same. I hope things get easier for you, take care of yourself
