My mums next door neighbour

I'm in shock, my sister has just rang me to tell me my mums next door neighbour has died!! She died last night from a suspected heart attack but she's in Benidorm, her & her husband have been there for almost a week on their holidays. It's the first holiday abroad for them for a few years, they have a caravan & tend to spend their spare time there. Their daughter has flew out to her dad. They've lived next door to mum & dad for around 20 years! She was good as gold to me & my sister & we've spent many happy hours in her garden with her nieces & nepews etc. She'd always come into her garden when kids are at mums playing in garden & spoke to them & usually had a treat or two for them. She was diagnosed with cancer some years back & fought it sucessfully, again many hours we're spent with her while her hubby went out etc.

Such a shock & sad loss. I feel for her family as death is hard enough to deal with but so much harder when a shock not to mention her being in another country .

oh no... thats terrible news!! im so sorry hun!! i kno wot its like wen close to parents neighbours.. they become part of the family!!

Thanks x I had to tell them when stu's dad died but they were too young to understand really, Leah was 7 weeks old, Alfie was coming up to 2 & Lewis coming up to 4.

I know i was bricking it but didn't seem far for stu to have to explain to them, his dad died of massive heart attack so he was gutted & in such shock. The kids were great i told them he lived in heaven & always watched over them. They then told everyone he moved to devon & that he lived in the moon lol They look at moon now & say grandad ron watches them from there everyday but comes out at night to show he's still there
