Default advise needed!

me and my husband have been together for 5 years and married for 1 we have 2 boys together and he also has twin daughters.his x wife was letting him have contact but then we noticed that she started smoking cannibis heavly and was taking anphetamines she also has a long history of very serious mental health issues, all together she has 7 children and most of them are in care or live with her family she only has 3 of her children in her care.so my husband and i started court proceedings for residencey and as soon as we did she moved 400 miles away! we have ordered a drugs test and a doctors report on her mental health but nothing has been done and the judge has already given her 2 chances to file her stuff and nothing has been done there is a contact order but she doesn't always stick to that!i would like anyones opinion to whether we have a good case for residencey? Its been over a year and a half and she been given chance after chance.thanks Danni x

hi hun have to say sounds as if you have a good case & you were right to ask for her to be tested for drugs most defo go in your favour plus if the drs feel that she is unable to look after her child/children due to her mental health problems thats also will be a good thing. good luck with it all i hope it all works out for you xx

sounds totally reasonable to me - am surprised the social services haven't been involved already - are the children on the 'at risk' register? would speak to a solicitor if I were you, or you could try social services yourself. hope it goes ok

there were a while ago but their mum id very good at hiding things so if social services make an appointment she will for example make the house look tidy.and her illness doesnt make her bad all the time but when she has a bad week or few its really bad!we tryed social services like when we found out she was smoking cannibid heavly and it was effecting her abality to look after the kids and they said it must be a "glitch" and after quite a few phone calls they were never avaliable to talk and we never heard back to them.we have spoken to a solicitor and my husband is going to court on 24th of june but i wanted to get an outsiders point of view.thanks.danni x
