Unhappy Feeling Lonely

Hey i am 18 yrs old 19 July 1st. I am originally from manchester but moved up to newcastle when i was 16 as thats where my bf is from.

I suffer badly with bulimia and have done since i was 13. I did go collage at 16 but i left cuz i moved up here. And since i lived up here ive lost all my friends and my family no longer care about me.

I suffer with depression as my mum used to abuse me and my sister thats why i became bulimic in the first place.

i am that ill that i havent been able to work etc since i lived up here. i have no one apart from my bf and i am getting even more depressed as every day that i awake i am just stuck in the flat with no one to talk too, i never go out anywhere and to be honest I feel really lonely and now i have a baby..

i just dont know what to do, i miss having friends and having a laugh. i miss someone knocking on my door or texting me but no one from manchester cares or have contacted me in ages.

do u know what i can do to try and snap me out of my depression? thats why i joined here as i thought i mite meet some nice ppl to talk too as seen as i do nothing with my day apart from look after my son.

im just so down and feel abnormal as i dont have any friends etc my life is basically living in my flat and going out every now and again to the shops. as i cant go to my mates i have none

just any advice wud be appriciated as its driving me nuts ...

Let me just start by saying ur not abnormal chick, u'd be surprised how many ppl hav felt the same as u!! And as u know all of us on here are only 2 happy 2 listen and talk 2 u, so all u hav 2 do is say!!
Am in a similar situation myself, no family no friends just my boyfriend, my kids and my bfs family, but its not the same as having ur own friends and stuff!! Chin up chick, u have ur gorgeous little one now and although its tough being a mum its sooooooooo worth it!!

xXx

i too have been abused and suffer from depression. My depression got so bad after my 2nd baby that all I though about was dying and ways to kill myself. You can't snap out of depression - it is a real illness. In the end I went to the doctor, who put me on anti-depressants. They were wonderful! they transformed my life! they take about 6 weeks to kick in, but the difference has to be seen to be believed. After going on my anti-depressants, I left my abusive husband, go a new life, partner and baby and now am having counselling through local domestic violence group. This is really helping too. I am still battling depression, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Your doc may be able to send you for counselling, or local victim support group, but don't just hope that it will go away by itself cos it won't. I hope it goes ok, it this is any help and you want to chat, feel free.

What about a toddler group... have you joined one? Sure start run a good mother and toddler group plus they have people there specially trained to help people with depression and such illnesses. In the summer months I go to the park with the kids and strike up a conversation with the parents who are there with their children

hi i know exactly how you feel ive suffered from depression since i was 13 and used to self harm.i ran away at 16 and lost touch with all my friends i had at school.i still dont have any friends only the people i talk to on here and sometimes it still gets me down.heres my advise try and go out even if its to the shops every day go out though even if its for a loaf of bread it worked for me.talk to you doctor about your depression im on tablets now and feel alot better but you might need to try a few different ones to try and find which one suits you.try and make yourself go to a local mother and baby group as you are in hte city i asume there would be quite a few.and most of all dont care what anyone else thinks.ive got 2 kids now and although i dont have any friends im doing so much better.good luck and let me know how you get on.p.s it will take time.danni x x
