Default potty training

a while ago i started a thread asking for advice on potty training as ashley was quite stubborn and refused point blank to go. well im relieved to say that she is making one heck of a progress!!

shes quite happy to do a wee on the potty, but hasnt done one from the other end yet. but im just relieved that shes makin progress as it was only a few weeks ago where she was quite happy to wear nappies.

just one question tho. how will i know if shes ready to stop wearing nappies for bed?

I potty trained josh from age 2 but i didnt really do anything , i left the potty around for him to get used to & didnt pester him to wee on it, gradually i said its for having a wee wee on whilst he was nappyless in the home. I started to ask regularly if he needed to wee & also said if u feel u need to wee tell mummy , everytime he wee'd on the potty i gave him a treat. I have never rushed potty training or pushed him into it i dont believe there is a rush, He currently doesnt wear a nappy during the day & tells me when he needs to wee, the pooing took longer & hes nearly there but not 100% , He doesnt have accidents with poos but tends to hold it in til bedtime then as soon as i put a nappy on him the lil monkey poos! he does poo on the potty during day if he feels he needs too mind. Night times ive cut his drinks down to no more than a sip from a cup after 6pm, this worked fab with his nappies being dry, I make him wee before bed & then when i go to bed i carry him half asleep to the toilet for a wee & put him back in bed, he still has a nappy on just incase but they are more or less dry. He's at the stage he doesnt want to wear a nappy now which is great as i can get him to understand more about weeing/pooing . hes just gone 3yrs old & starts nursery in january im hoping he will be well & truly out of nappies by then. good luck with your girl x
