Default She will not stop crying

My little girl is 1 month old when she was born she did not cry alot up an till she was 2 weeks old and from then on she crys every 30 or so mins.
She sleeps and eats fine. Her doctor our family doctor said she crys alot because she was born a big baby and i'm not sure if it is because of that.
I'm lost i do not know why she crys every 30 mins and my sisters baby does not cry ever 30 mins and she is 2 week older than my baby. Can some one try and put my mind to rest and help, I need to know why she crys alot so if any body nows why she maybe crying alot can you please let me know.

I agree, it sounds like wind, gets them really bad when they are little, hold her close and keep rubbing her back. Try not to panic though cos they sense all that, I know its hard with your first. If that fails, talk to your health visitor they are usually more understanding than doctors and able to help you cos they care about you as well as the baby and your well being. I will come to an end so dont worry. Its scary when they are so little and you dont know what to do. Take care, hope that helps.

i think i read somewhere that if your baby cries for 3 hours or more, 3 days a week or more for a consecutive 3 weeks then that is cause for concern and should be taken more seriously (think that's right - you could check with your health visitor). some babies do cry loads tho and it's hard work. i used to stick ear plugs in (me, that is!) - you can still hear them but it takes the edge off and helps you stay a bit calmer! good luck

Hi, my daughter had the same problem, every 30 minutes drives you nuts! I switched from breast feeding as it wasn't working out for us, first formula didn't agree with her either but once she had Farleys she settled well and peace resumed, hope this helps x

Thank you so much for the help girls

My health visitor said every thing is fine, She said Georgia just crys alot and there is nothing wrong with her but she said that maybe it would help if i did not breast feed her so i have stopped that and know she just crys every 1 hour what is more better than every 30 mins, So it looks like every thing is fine.

Thanks again girls
