| | Re: Sleeping through the night | | If she was waking up for milk then it would be easier to help you because she would be wanting the food, and you would be able to stop that by gradually making he last feed later and eventually you would be able to drop the bottle. With it being water, I presume it is just habit because she is'nt waking up for a feed, therfore she isnt hungry so there isn't really a need for her to wake up. It's a tricky one. I don't know whether she is in her own room or not, but how about putting her water next to where she sleeps and if ur there to begin with, but then after a while she may start to wake up still but just help herself to the water. Apart from that I'm not sure what else to recommend!! Sorry I'm not much more help!! |

| | Re: Sleeping through the night | | Maybe a hot chocolate before bed. I know I used to have a bottle of nice warm milk or hot chocolate before bed when I was young and it always worked for me... still does now when its cold or I dont feel well. But there might be an issue of toilet breaks in the night. I agree with Lynne with putting the bottle of water for her to help herself too. My friend did that with her son and he would fall back to sleep. Sorry I cant help anymore... I have all this still to come. hehe Good luck and hope it works out for you and your daughter. |

| | Re: Sleeping through the night | | thanks guys, ive mentioned it b4 to the health visitor and she seems to think that she's just a child that doesn't need to sleep that much! She sleeps in her own room but we usually end up having to bring her in2 our room cuz the endless trips in2 her room.. i leave a bottle of water bside her bed, in the pocket of the bedrail, but she wont take it herself..i think you're right though, lynne, thats just habit.. i think she sort of wakes for comfort, to make sure me and her dad are still there yet she's not a clingy child, very sociable and she stays overnight in my mam and dad's every saturday no problem, so.. i might try the hot choc tho, gud ideaxx I hope mileena is a better sleeper for you!xx

| | Re: Sleeping through the night | | Well if she stays at ur mam n dads fine, then it obviously must just be a habit, like you say to check you 2 are still there. I guess it is just a case of breaking that habit which is easier said than done!! |

So I think when she finally learns to roll over she will sleep thru again. lol | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
