me and my hubby are trying for our 2nd baby,but i havent had a womans week as i came off pill injection in january,really fustrating .were wanting one before my son is five,so we only have rest of this yr beging of next.does any one know how long it takes for the injection to get out of system

i'm not sure hun i take the pill so when i came off that it only took me about a week - 2 weeks to fall!!! good luck hun!!!

My friend was on the injection and she told me it took 6 mths to come out of your system and that is why it's such a good contraceptive. But I don't know for sure.

Ok, I googled Depo Provera for you, and it says:
"Women who want to become pregnant may stop using Depo Provera at any time. For some women fertility returns immediately. For others it may take 6-18months or longer for the body's hormone cycle to return to normal".
Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but realistically it could be any time for you as everyone's different.
My friend took 3 years to conceive after stopping her contraceptive injection, and had even started the ball rolling for fertility treatment but then fell naturally anyway.

well iweren trying for a baby wen i stopped the injection... but i did take 3years to get out of my system as thats how long it took for me to have a period!!! but it didnt agree wit me wen i was using it coz i had 3months non-stop of periods while on it... so hopefully it'l b a lot quicker for u!!
