Gifted and talented

When Louise was in Reception, she was on the gifted and talented list as this is now recognised as a special need. Children on this register have the need to be educated at their level and Louise was excelling in every subject. Since then her progression in school has slowed down (she is now in year 2) ad has recently been removed from the list. This was difficult for all involved, including the teacher as they were setting her work way above her age and not sure what to do. It was difficult for us because Lou was bored and began to play up a little both in school and at home. I was wondering if anybody else knew of children on this register?

hi Macy.... has she ever been checked for asperger's.. my son has this and is extremely intelligent and gifted but cannot cope in mainstream school. the noise of other kids slows him down and leaves him confused and angry... pm me if you need to chat..
