is there any parents who have children with special needs wanting to chat. my child has ADHD and i dont have many friends so i would love to make some new ones because its very lonely not having anyone to chat to

helo i have 2 children with special needs, liam is 3 and has delay, and speech problems, tyler is a different child all together in respect he has ceriable palsey he cant even swallow he is fed through a tube in to his tummy he cant even sit up and he is 2 and i havent really got any1 to talk to either so it would b really nice to talk to somebody who knows wat im going through and is shareing the same experiences with there child as me. xxxx

Do you have much support for your children? Or are you left having to find everything out? We have a constant round of hospital visits, physio etc, my son is in mainstream school and he can walk with the aid of splints. He does have some feeding issues and has problems controling his mouth muscles at times. He is just starting to recognise he is diffrent to other kids and has faced teasing at school, but he loves to learn new things.

Have you ever been able to find out why your sonm has Cerebral Palsy? did it happen at birth? premature delivery or what they say with us just one of those things? My son contracted Meningitus at birth and we know that this is what caused his CP. There is alot of support you can try to get, i would be willing to direct you where to get it if you are not receiving it.

im so glad u got in touch my baby got cp from being prem and spendin so long on the ventilator and his heard stoppin and all the trama of infections he had a midline stroke so they r sayin and his mri confirmed it which was very hard to come to terms with tyler has alot of trouble swallown and is fed through a perminant tube going into his tummy he is been statementid at the mo and starts special school soon to he will never go to main stream as he cant sit up or walk and he can say a few words like dad mum yes but that bout it he is classed as moderate to severa with all the medical probs cause he has reflux and prob with his bowel as well.He has physio and hydrotheripy and nurse come out to see him but ive had to access most of the stuff myself it is really hard because u cant imagine wat there future will hold i bet u find that 2 its the same with liam because he has problems aswell but not as servia as ty althw he is been statemented as well but is goin to main stream, add me to ure msn then we can talk some more i dont no hw to do it. my email is kitkat-2k6@hotmail.co.uk im quite new to computers xx luv 2 u all ema xx

dont know whether ul recieve this as it looks as thou nobodies written in this forum 4 a while my little boy has CP he also has a severe development delay & most recently been diagnosed wi epilepsy!!his development delay is due 2 a genetic problem effectin the males in my family i hav 4 brothers & a nephew wi the same syndrome this may b a cause 2 his epilepsy aswel the CP isnt conected 2 his other problems & we're not quite sure where it was picked up he wasnt prem & as far as i can remember his birth had no complications & yes i am told its jus 1 of those things,how can ur babies health b jus 1 of those things!!my lil boy is 3 in 2wks he cannot sit unaidded thou he can now sit kneelin he cannot walk thou he's jus started cruisin along the furniture so hopefully wont b much longer b4 he can walk he loves watchin the other kids play which upsets me coz he wud love 2 b able 2 join in he's jus sooooo happy!!do definately get lonely wud love others in the same boat 2 chat 2 :smile:

Called Macy who has trisomy 13 it is a chromosone abnormaility and its terminal so i will lose her at some point she is my pride and joy keeps fighting everyday we told she would live for 2 days and she is still here
