i have postnatal depression after my 4th son was born. due to all his problems that he has had i felt like i was a failure. I on tablets now and i have tried 2 times to come off them but i haven't been ready.

Hun this is in no way your fault, you cant blame yourself for something you have no control over, sometimes things happen to us that we dont understand, but he is lucky to have you as a mum to care and look after him x

I agree with Charlie, don't blame yourself. Give it time, and you will be off the tablets when you are ready. It's not your fault at all - PND is a natural thing that just happens to some of us

i completly understand where you are coming from, ive been suffering from pnd after my first fiona was born 2 years ago, i was put on tablets then taken off 5 weeks later when i found out i was pregs with jess. i knew i would get it again as i never had time or chance to heal from first bout. im on a higher dose now and still struggling but i know in time, it will get better. its just frustrating waiting for it to happen.

i agree with everyone hun i have been lucky enough not to have this so i can't imagen what you go through everyday these things are out of any woman control & your not alone xx

good luck hun, i have written a post bout when i had pnd. i was given tablets they didnt work, i went 2 see a councillor best thing i have ever did. every1 who knows me sees such a different person now. im calmer more chilled dont lose my temper as easily etc. i would advice any1 2 talk 2 a councillor. x

ive been referred to a counciller this week, got to go docs tomz to sort it out. i havent been to one before but im happier knowing you guys say its the best thing youve done.
My health visitor is the most support ive had so far, if the coucilling tops that ill b amazed!!!

ive seen a councsler in the past for things they are good and really helped me out
