I'm getting a german shepherd puppy sometime next year, wondering what food to people feed their puppies/dogs?

my stepdad has won and i believe they give them both, say like meat in the mornin and dry and night or the other way round etc, there both good, but it could also depend on your dog cause one day he might want wet and the next dry
